Grand Cape Mount County Representative Aaron Vincen
Lawmaker Wants Roads, Bridges A top Agenda

ROBERTSPORT, April 9 (LINA) - Grand Cape Mount County Representative Aaron Vincent is calling on authorities to prioritize the rehabilitation of roads and bridges in the country following years of civil conflict.
He said the renovation of roads and bridges will create opportunities for citizens to move freely, boost internal trade and generate income for citizens and government.
Representative Vincent made the call Tuesday in Gola Konneh District during the official re-opening of the Lofa Bridge, which was closed down by the government due to its deplorable condition.
He said some of the major farm-to-market roads and bridges along those roads that were damaged during the war are yet to be rehabilitated, and stressed the need to fast-track their improvement.
The Grand Cape Mount County lawmaker said the closure of the Lofa Bridge that connects Grand Cape Mount and Gbarpolu counties has denied the government of needed revenues and crucial income to the local people.
He commended the women of the two counties for the role they played in drawing government’s attention to the deplorable condition of the bridge, which prompted quick intervention to have it reconditioned.
