Senator Findley Says Gov’t Committed To Ebola Fight

By Johnson Liway, LINA Grand Bassa Correspondent

BUCHANAN, April 9 (LINA) -The President Pro-Tempore of the Liberian Senate and Senior Senator of Grand Bassa County, M. Gbehzohngar Findley has assured Liberians of government’s commitment to fight the spread of the Ebola virus in the country.

Pro-Tempore Findley gave the assurance on Tuesday on the Radio Gbehzohn early morning talk show “Good Morning Bassa.”

Senator Findley said the Liberian Government is putting in place all necessary measures to prevent the spread of the Ebola virus.

He admitted that the virus is in the country, but called on the people of Liberia to follow the safety rules advanced by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, which include avoiding coming into close contact with people suspected of carrying the Ebola virus.

He also advised that people suspected of contracting Ebola should be taken to the nearest health facility, rather than to native doctors.
