MONROVIA, Dec 7(LINA) - The Commissioner of Gola Konneh Statutory District in Grand Cape Mount County, Amos Musa, has lauded a gold mining firm in the area for undertaking the construction of 325 housing units for the citizens.
He said the housing units estimated at US$ 1.5 million will be occupied by citizens of Kinjor and Larjor Towns in the district. They are to be relocated by New Liberty Gold Mining Company because their towns and villages have been earmarked for mining operations.
Commissioner Musa made the statement Saturday in an interview with the Liberia News Agency (LINA) via telephone from Cape Mount.
He said the firm is also building an elementary school and health center to cater for the needs of the people.
Commissioner Musa said the construction projects will last for about eight months.
