CDC Sets Up Office In Bopolu City

By Emmanuel Mondaye, LINA Gbarpolu County Correspondent

BOPOLU CITY, April 3 (LINA) - As the 2014 mid-term senatorial election draws near, the opposition Congress of Democratic Change (CDC) has officially established an office in Bopolu City, Gbarpolu County.

Dedicating the office recently, CDC political leader George Weah said setting up the office was predicated upon several appeals to the party by citizens of the county.

Mr. Weah told citizens of the county that it was time for them to decide which way they want to go, as the 2014 mid-term senatorial election approaches.

Mr. Weah also indicated that CDC is expected to open branches in other parts of the county, including Henry Town, Totoquelle, Belle District and Kungbor, among others.

Meanwhile, a prominent citizen of the county, Mr. Jacob Dennis, has commended the CDC for thinking ahead of the senatorial elections.

He told the Liberia News Agency that the CDC office brings to three the number of political party offices in Bopolu City, including the Liberty Party (LP) and the ruling Unity Party.
