By Korboi Gbelewala, LINA Lofa County Correspondent

VOINJAMA, March 31 (LINA) - The Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD,) have begun reconditioning several feeder roads in Quardu Gboni District in Lofa County.

Making the disclosure in an interview with the Liberia News Agency Monday, Quadu Gboni District Commissioner, Anthony Kamara, said the Ministry and IFAD have contracted two companies to implement the road projects in the district.

He said one of the companies have begun paving roads linking Selega to Nassadou, Gbegbedou and Nyamakadou, while the other is paving the road linking Selega intersection to Makonedou and Konnedou in the district, and as far as the Guinean border.

Mr. Kamara did not attach any cost to the road project, but noted that the project is expected to be completed at the end of April 2014.

The district commissioner told LINA that the people of Quardu Gboni have suffered too long from bad roads, noting that when completed, the roads would bring economic relief to the people of Quardu Gboni.
