72nd Barracks Residents Get Presidential Relief

MONROVIA, April 30 (LINA) – President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has suspended the execution of the deadline of the eviction of illegal occupants from the 72nd Military Barrack outside Monrovia.

According to an Executive Mansion release, the decision of the President followed consultation with the National Legislature.

It said upon the return of the Minister of National Defense, who is currently on an assignment abroad, the National Security Council will meet to discuss the consequences and timeliness of the eviction exercise.

The Defence Ministry had announced the ejection of illegal occupants from the barracks to provide housing for the members of the Armed Forces of Liberia.
