Pres. Sirleaf Names Journalist Hoff To Ombudsman

MONROVIA, April 7 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has appointed Mrs. Elizabeth E. Hoff as a member of the Office of the Ombudsman.

Mrs. Hoff is a former President of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) and one time Deputy Minister for Technical Service at the Ministry of Information, Culture Affairs and Tourism.

According to an Executive Mansion release, Ms. Hoff replaces Atty. Massa Jallabah whose appointment was earlier rescinded due to age limitation.

With the appointment of Ms. Hoff, the structural composition of the Office of the Ombudsman has been completed.

Meanwhile, the appointment is subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate.

Other members of the three-member Ombudsman are Cllr. Christian Massaquoi, Chairman, and Attorney Edward Dillion, member.
