PUL Announces 2017 Awards Committee
MONROVIA, April 4 (LINA) - The Press Union of Liberia (PUL) has named its 2017 Awards Committee in continuation of the celebration of World Press Freedom Day.
Individuals and Institutions appointed to the Committee are Ms. Ade Wede Kerkulah, CPA, as chairperson.
Others are Mr. Jonathan Paye Layleh, BWI Alumni Association/BBC, Atty. Bobby Livingstone, Mass Communications Department, United Methodist University; Ms. Tete Kanneh, Global Bank; Mr. Blamo Robinson, LTA; Mr. Isaac Redd, House of Representatives; Mrs. Chris Harris Williams, LTA; Mr. Sorbor George, Health Ministry, ALICO, and Internews.
The Awards Committee is mandated to examine entries for at least 17 categories in this year’s PUL Annual Awards.
The works of the committee, according to the PUL, will include the revision of guidelines for the competition.
The PUL Annual Awards Program is intended to identify and honor the work of journalists and media institutions that perform with distinction during the period under review.
The award is opened to all members of the PUL and covers the areas of radio, television, newspaper and online.
Meanwhile, the guidelines and other organizational preparations for the 2017 Awards will be released soon in Monrovia.
