SANNIQUELLIE, March 25 (LINA) -The new Superintendent of Nimba County, Fong Zuagele, has said the problem in Nimba County is administrative and not tribal.

He explained that the people of the county are united with high expectations for development, and not divided on tribal lines.

Zuagele made the statement Monday at his induction ceremony, as the new superintendent of Nimba County. He replaces Madam Christiana Dagadu, who was relieved of her post by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

He assured the county’s leadership of his commitment to the implementation of Government’s policies aimed at promoting the well-being of all Nimba citizens.

Performing the installation program, Internal Affairs Minister Morris Dukuly admonished the people of Nimba to cooperate with the county administration in addressing the developmental needs of the people.

He assured the people of Nimba that the foremost interest of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf was the growth and development of all regions of the country.

In remarks, Nimba Senator Prince Johnson called on the government to release the Nimba County Development Fund, to ensure the continuation of major projects earmarked for implementation in the county.

Senator Johnson observed that major projects proposed by the past County Council have virtually failed, because of the delay in disbursing the County Development Fund; something he said was negatively impacting and undermining the advancement of the county.

He said that the newly-installed Superintendent of Nimba can only succeed, if money intended for the development of the county is disbursed to the county administration.
