Nat’l Security Advisor Challenges AFL To Be Patriotic
By Calvin Brooks

MONROVIA, February 7 (LINA) - National Security Advisor Dr. H. Boima Fahnbulleh has challenged members of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) to demonstrate patriotism at all times.

Dr. Fuhnbulleh stated that patriotism and discipline should be the hallmark of professional soldiers in a democratic system.

He was speaking Tuesday when he delivered the keynote address at the 60th Armed Forces Day Symposium held at the Monrovia City Hall.

He noted that the contributions of the AFL towards peace, stability and development must be assessed within the context of the reality in Liberia.

He stressed that the AFL should diversify its budgetary support through the private sector to raise funds to implement needed projects in the rebuilding process of Liberia.

Dr. Fuhnbulleh observed that the AFL cannot continue to depend on the allotment from the National Budget to execute some of its activities geared towards transforming the Liberian society as professional soldiers.

The symposium was held on the topic: “AFL’s Contributions to Peace,
Stability and Development”
