Bong Citizens Hail Tokpa For Market Construction

By Philip T. Singbah, LINA Bong County Correspondent

GARNGA, January 12 (LINA) - Citizens of Suakoko Town in Bong County are commending Internal Affairs Minister Henrique Tokpa for the ongoing construction of a modern market facility in the town.

Despite losing the 2014 Special Senatorial election, Dr Tpkpah is constructing a modern market in Suakoko to help market women who sat under deplorable stalls to sell.

The initiative has now given relief to market women, who continue to extend gratitude to Dr. Tokpa for restoring hope to them.

Though the market is yet to be completed, it is currently being used by the marketers.

Speaking to the Liberia News Agency in Suakoko recently, the citizens said many of them lost essential goods during the peak of the past rainy seasons as they had to use tarpaulins and old zincs to protect their market tables from the rain.

They described Dr. Tokpa as “a patriotic son” of Bong County who despite losing a major election, has continued his development initiative in the county.

According to the citizens, they did not think that such project could have been undertaken in their town by Dr. Tokpa.
