MONROVIA, January 11 (LINA) - The Superintendent of Margibi County, John Buway, has disclosed that the County Service Center (CSC) raised over US$104,000 in revenue from April to December 2016.
Speaking on the ELBC “Super Morning Show” Wednesday, Buway said the amount was raised from the processing of driver licenses, marriage certificates, land deeds, school permits and vehicle registration, among others.
It can be recalled that the Government of Liberia established the service center in the county in April in a bid to deconcentrate and decentralize its services across the country.
According to Superintendent Buway, Margibi is second to Grand Bassa County to receive those services, adding “for the first time in the county’s history citizens will not have to travel to Monrovia to have their documents processed.”
Buway said services provided by the center are fast and reliable, noting that it has served over 9,000 customers thus far.
He thanked the Margibi County Legislative Caucus for working along to appropriate money in the County Development Fund (CDF) for the maintenance of the service center.
