Bong Police Raid ‘Criminal Hideout’
By Ballah Kollie, LINA Bong County Correspondent

GBARNGA, March 23 (LINA) - Police in Bong County have arrested several suspected criminals in a raid on an alleged criminal hideout in Sergeant Kollie Town (SKT), in Suakoko District.

According to Police Commander, Morris T. Teamah, the raid is in furtherance of the County Detachment of the Liberia National Police (LNP) desire to rid the county of criminals.

He told the Liberia News Agency in an interview at the weekend that peaceful
residents of the SKT community have over the period been harassed by criminals, who willfully encroach on their properties and put their security at risk.

Commenting on the raid, SKT Youth Chairman, Sam Lewis, thanked the LNP for the operation, noting, "We too have the right to live in an environment that is free of crime."

He promised to alert the police should the alleged criminals return to the hideout.
