Buchanan City Gets Pipe-borne Water Again

By Stephen N. Sonpon

MONROVIA, January 10 (LINA) - Grand Bassa County Superintendent Levi Demmah says residents of Buchanan City and its environs are now benefiting from pipe-borne water supplied by the newly-rehabilitated Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC) Treatment Plant in Harrisburg, Montserrado County.

Demmah described the accomplishment as an effort made by President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to restore hope to the people of Grand Bassa after a period of over 26 years.

According to him, it is also a critical intervention made by the government based on the country’s development strategy articulated in the Agenda for Transformation (AfT).

He made the statement recently in an interview with Journalists in Monrovia.

Demmah indicated that the AfT platform portrays government’s overall vision and strategy for sustainable growth and development, people involvement and service delivery and development at the county level.

He noted that these policies have set the country on an irreversible path of development achievement and that Bassa needs to keep strengthening the path of engagement that will guarantee peace, security and stability.
