Thousands Of Nimba Women Pledge To Support VP Boakai

MONROVIA, January 9 (LINA) - Thousands of women in Nimba County under the banner Patriotic Nimbaians Movement for Boakai (PANIMBO) have pledged their unflinching support for the presidential bid of Vice President Joseph N. Boakai.

The women said their decision to support Vice President Boakai was based on his humility and outstanding performance in public service and his willingness to unite the people of Liberia.

According to a press release, the PANIMBO Women turned out in their thousands and paraded the streets of Ganta over the weekend followed by an awareness and stakeholders program held at the J.W. Pearson Soccer Pitch in Ganta City, Nimba County.

In a statement to the women, the Chief Organizer and Chairlady of PANIMBO, Felecia K. Yormie, said of the other candidates in the race Vice President Boakai was best suited to deliver a responsible leadership to the Liberian people.

Chairlady Yormie then called on all women of Nimba to turn out en masse from February 1 to March 7, to register with the National Elections Commission to give them the authority to exercise their political franchise.

The program brought together more than sixty women groups from Nimba County.

PANIMBO is a self-sponsored group organized to support Vice President Boakai in the 2017 Presidential Election.
