BUCHANAN, December 21 (LINA) - After many years without a high school, Statutory District #4 in Grand Bassa County is to benefit from a modern secondary school with a teachers’ quarter.

The project is being implemented by the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) under the legislative project of its Representative, Robertson Siaway.

Making the disclosure to reporters recently, Arthur Kier, the Chief of Office Staff of Rep. Siaway, said the project will kick-off in January of 2017 on the Civil Compound of the district, and will be completed in six months, if there is no interruption by rainfall.

Kier put the cost of the project at US$225,000, but pointed out that US$70,000 has already been made available to get the project started.

The Gbehzohn Construction Business Incorporated is the construction company hired to implement the District #4 school project.

The building will cater for the 10th, , 11th , and 12th  grades because there exists two junior high schools in the district,” Kier pointed out.

Meanwhile, Kier has revealed that over 15 instructors, including graduates of the
University of Liberia Teachers College, are being prepared to manage the academic program of the high school when completed.

Kier also added that the teachers’ quarter will be constructed to  provide accommodation for teachers on the school campus.
