Scholarship Donors In Huge Arrears With BCTC -  Prexy

By Philip T. Singbah, LINA Bong County Correspondent

GBRANGA, December 15 (LINA)  - The Head of the Interim Management Team of the Bong County Technical College (BCTC) in Gbarnga, Roland Massaquoi, is calling on scholarship donors to settle their financial arrears with the institution.

Dr. Massaquoi said the school is facing serious financial crisis as a result of arrears owed the institution by scholarship donors.

Speaking recently during a media briefing in Gbarnga, the BCTC interim president warned that the school will shortly begin to send home students who are indebted to the institution.

Meanwhile, Dr. Massaquoi has disclosed that the college is in negotiations with several institutions, including the Phebe Hospital, Cuttington University and the Central Agricultural Research Institute for possible collaboration to improve the learning capacity of BCTC students.

He said the move is in furtherance of the institution’s commitment to build the human resource capacity of the county.
