Cabinet Places Emphasis On Roads Amidst Dry Season
MONROVIA, November 10 (LINA) - The Liberian Cabinet has mandated the Ministry of Public Works to prioritize key road projects during the ensuing dry season.
According to an Executive Mansion release, the mandate followed updates the ministry gave the Cabinet at its recent sitting.
Cabinet highlighted works on the 80km Fish Town-Karloken; 66km Harper-Karloken; ongoing designs on the 81km Gbarnga-Salayea; 72km Sanniquellie-Dannane; S.D. Cooper-Coco Cola Factory 6km to be fast-tracked.
Additional road works will see the opening of a total of 78 alleys with a total length of 63.54km from ELWA Junction to Marshall Junction.
Cabinet was informed that EU funding for the maintenance of the Buchanan-Cestos City road is going through the procurement process.
Cabinet also received updates on the Ministerial Complex, Capitol Building Extension, Marshall road project, the Gbarma-Weasua road project, continuation of demolition along the Barnesville-Caldwell road, rigid pavement pilot project on the Redemption road as well as the Sinkor streets asphalt rehabilitation project.
