Chief Justice Makes Changes At Courts in Montserrado, Bong

MONROVIA, October 24 (LINA) – Chief Justice Francis S. Korkpor has made changes affecting magisterial courts in Montserrado and Bong Counties effective November 1.

According to a Judiciary press statement, Magistrate J. Kennedy Peabody has been re-assigned as Stipendiary Magistrate, Monrovia City Court, Temple of Justice, while Eric N. Cooper of the Paynesville Magisterial Court and Edwin K. Gayflor of the Bensonville Magisterial Court respectively, have been assigned to the Monrovia City Court as Associate Magistrates.

Magistrate James B. Cooper from the Bushrod Island Magisterial Court has been assigned as Stipendiary Magistrate at the Paynesville Magisterial Court, and James S. Nyumah from the Brewerville Magisterial Court and Stephen K. Barchue from the West Point Magisterial Court respectively, have been assigned as Associate Magistrates at the Paynesville Magisterial Court.

At the Bushrod Island Magisterial Court, James F. Dudu has been assigned acting Stipendiary Magistrate, effecting his transfer from the Brewerville Magisterial Court, and Timothy A.F. Worries now leaves the West Point Magisterial Court to take up a new assignment at the Bushrod Island Magisterial Court as Associate Magistrate.

Magistrate E. Flomo B. Bona is re-assigned Stipendiary Magistrate of the West Point Magisterial Court while Ezekiel G. Kun from the Clay Ashland Magisterial Court and Daniel P. Charles from the Gardnesville Magisterial Court respectively, take up new assignments at the West Point Magisterial Court as Associate Magistrates.

Other assignments made by the Chief Justice affect the Brewerville Magisterial Court where John L. Griggs is to now serve as acting Stipendiary Magistrate, leaving the Monrovia City Court and Peter Faryen leaves the Bushrod Island Magisterial Court for a new assignment at the Brewerville Magisterial Court as Associate Magistrate.

Magistrate Quincy A. Q. Garnett from the Clay Ashland Magisterial Court has been assigned to the Bensonville Magisterial Court as acting Stipendiary Magistrate along with Mark S. Saah who remains at the Bensonville Magisterial Court as Associate Magistrate.

Mgistrate Tweh Wesseh from the Clay Ashland Magisterial Court is now assigned to the Gardnesville Magisterial Court as Stipendiary Magistrate and Ziazay K. Forkpa from the Paynesville Magisterial Court also goes to the Gardnesville Magisterial Court as Associate Magistrate.

Other courts affected by the changes in Montserrado County include the Clay Ashland Magisterial Court where Joseph R. Watson from the Monrovia City Court is now assigned as acting Stipendiary Magistrate and J. Winston Gee leaves the Bushrod Island Magisterial Court for assignment at the Clay Ashland Magisterial Court as Associate Magistrate.

Magistrate Francis Fayiah retains his assignment as Stipendiary Magistrate at the Careysburg Magisterial Court.

Meanwhile, the Chief Justice has appointed Att. William G. Capehart, acting Stipendiary Magistrate at the Gbarnga City Magisterial Court while George Wokpeh of the Salala Magisterial Court goes as Associate Magistrate at the Gbarnga City Magisterial Court in Bong County.

The Chief Justice urged the appointed magistrates to perform their duties with diligence and commitment to the rule of law and the administration of Justice. The rotation of Magistrates is a routine executed by the Chief Justice to enhance efficiency within the Judiciary Branch of Government.
