Pres. Sirleaf Congratulates Zambia On Anniversary
MONROVIA, October 24 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has sent a message of congratulations to the Government and People of the Republic of Zambia on the occasion of the Independence celebration of that country on October 24.
On 24 October 1964, Zambia gained her independence from the United Kingdom.
In her message to Mr. Edgar Lungu, President of the Republic of Zambia, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia and in her own name, President Sirleaf extended warmest congratulations on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee celebration of that Republic.
The Liberian Leader said, “While joining you in celebration, I recognize with satisfaction the momentous partnership our two countries have established in recent years.”
President Sirleaf hoped that the bond of friendship so happily subsisting between the two countries and peoples will continue to be strengthened in the years to come as Liberia looks forward to closely collaborating with the Republic of Zambia for the promotion of peace, security and economic integration.
