Nimba Service Center Generates L$900k In Five Months
By S. Kannay Ziamo, LINA Nimba County Correspondent

GANTA, October 17 (LINA) - The Coordinator of the newly-established Nimba County Service Center (NCSC) in Sanniquellie, Mr. Moham Kromah, has disclosed that the center has generated L$900,000 since it started operations in the county May this year.

Kromah said the money was raised from fees paid for services offered at the center.

Speaking to the Liberia News Agency correspondent at his office in Sanniquillie over the weekend, Kromah said the NCSC offers 13 services that are provided by ministries and agencies.

He named some of the services offered at the Center as the provision of birth certificate, permit for operation of school, work permit for aliens, license for construction and wedding certificate, among others.

According to Kromah, the establishment of service centers across the country is part of government's deconcentration and decentralization program aimed at providing basic services to rural dwellers.

Meanwhile, Kromah has lauded citizens of Nimba County for frequently visiting the center for business transactions and inquiries.
