LICOSESS Begins Teacher Training In Bong
By Philip T. Singbah, LINA Bong County Correspondent

GBARNGA, October 5 (LINA) - The Liberia Cooperative Standard Education School System (LICOSESS) has started training teachers at its newly-established teacher training center in Jorquelleh District, Bong County.

Two officials of LICOSESS, Benjamin Wehye and Relhetta Wreh, told the Liberia News Agency in Jorquelleh Wednesday that the institution will initially train teachers at the “C” Certificate level.

The LICOSESS officials said they established the branch in the county to buttress the efforts of the various teachers training institutes in preparing more in-service teachers across the country.

They explained that the in-service training will last for six months, and called on teachers to take advantage of the opportunity to improve their skills.

According to the two officials, the establishment of LICOSESS in the county is to further support government’s drive to ensure that teachers across the country are adequately trained to provide quality education to students.

The LICOSESS Teacher Training College is being housed by the Kaeena Institute located in the Goll Farm Community in Bong County.
