Kakata Demonstration School Reopened After KRTTI Protest

By Calvin Brooks

MONROVIA, March 18 (LINA) -The Ministry of Education has re-opened the Kakata Demonstration School with immediate effect.

According to the Ministry’s Communicator Director, Mr. J. Maxime Bleetahn, the school was closed due to last month’s protest on the campus of the Kakata Rural Teacher Training Institute (KRTTI), where it is located.

Bleetahn said the reopening of the school is a clear indication that the Ministry of Education is committed to revamping the education system of Liberia.

He pointed out that the Ministry of Education will not allow any interruption from students and teachers to hinder the smooth operation of the country’s education sector.
