By Philip T. Singbah, LINA Bong County Correspondent

GBARNGA, September 29 (LINA) - In an effort to expand its coverage in rural Liberia, the Bush Chicken Media Company in Gbarnga, Bong County is holding  training for 11 community radio journalists from eight counties in the country.

The Bush Chicken is a newly-established media outlet dedicated to reporting in-depth news and analysis of current events, development and other societal news and information.

In an interview with the Liberia News Agency Wednesday, the Publisher, Jefferson Krua, said the training will increase the company's number of reporters and coverage around Liberia with reporters in Nimba, Margibi, and Montserrado counties.

Krua explained that the training is covering topics such as accountability in the media, media ethics, photojournalism and writing style.

Krua said as part of efforts to empower participants, the Bush Chicken will provide a digital camera and a recorder to be owned by their community radio stations, for reassignment to other reporters in case the reporter parts ways with the stations.

Participants of the media training are drawn from River Cess, Grand Cape Mount, Bomi, Grand Gedeh, Nimba, Margibi, Lofa and Bong counties.
