GBARNGA, March 18 (LINA) – Two citizens of Moigan Town in Panta District, Bong County, residing in the United States of America have constructed a town hall for use by residents of the town.
According to Mr. Honfrey Loweh, coordinator of the project estimated to cost US$2,000, the undertaking was an initiative of Messrs. Oliver and George Gonlelleh, citizens of the town currently residing in the United States.
He said it was in support of Government’s agenda to improve the living condition of their kinsmen.
Speaking to the Liberia News Agency Monday, Mr. Loweh said the two sons of the late Mr. Kerkula Paye Gonlelleh, who died last year and was buried in Moigan, Panta District, want the Town Hall named after their late father commonly known as KPG.
He said the town hall will comprise offices for elders and the town chief of Moigan, as well as toilet facilities.
Meanwhile citizens of the town have thanked the Gonlelleh family for the gesture, and promised to make maximum use of the facility.
According to Mr. Loweh, following nearly 30 years of stay in the USA, Mr. George Gonlelleh visited Liberia due to his father’s death and saw the need for the town hall, which he decided to build.
