ROBERTSPORT, March 16 (LINA) - Grand Cape Mount County Superintendent, Imam Mohammed A. Paasewe, has expressed satisfaction over the ongoing construction of several health centers in the county.
He said construction work was progressing on all of the health centers in Sewu Town, Tewor District, Gondon Town, Gola Konneh District, Butter Hill Town, Vaikanway Town and Damballah Town in Porkpa District and Jajah Town in Garwula Districts.
Superintendent Paasewe made the disclosure Monday in an interview with the Liberia News Agency Grand Cape Mount County correspondent, when a delegation from the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs visited the county.
He assured citizens that all of the health center projects will be dedicated during this year’s July 26 celebration, noting that his excitement about the works is that they prevent rural dwellers from walking long distances to seek medical treatment.
The Grand Cape Mount County Superintendent commended the government for initiating the County Development Fund (CDF) which, he said, has enabled his administration to undertake numerous projects geared towards improving the living standard of the people.
Superintendent Paasewe also praised managements of the implementing companies for involving the locals in the construction projects, noting that this will help empower the citizens financially.
He admonished Cape Mountainians to refrain from vices that have the potential to derail development in the county, and instead engage in programs that will promote the growth and development of the county.
