Rotary Cub To Train Students Against Violence
By Derrick G. Menkarzon

MONROVIA, September 22 (LINA) – The Rotary Club of Monrovia plans to train students from five schools in Monrovia and its environs against violence, according to two senior members of the club.

They named the schools as Paynesville Community, Len Millar, W.V.S. Tubman, JJ Roberts and Cathedral High Schools.

Joseph Johnson and Gerald Hopkins told the ELBC “Super Morning Show” Wednesday that the students will be taught how to communicate their grievances peacefully without engaging in violence.

They indicated that the training will help students and violent youths to desist from such acts and be peaceful in society.

They noted that young people become violent when they feel discriminated against or are not considered part of society.

Johnson and Hopkins noted that the goal of the Rotary Club is to discourage all forms of violence on the part of young people.
