Liberia Congratulates Guinea Bissau On 43rd Independence Day

MONROVIA, September 22 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of congratulations and best wishes to the Government and People of the Republic of Guinea Bissau on the occasion commemorating the 43rd Independence Anniversary of that country on September 24.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, in her message to Mr. Jose Mario Vaz, President of the Republic of Guinea Bissau, President Sirleaf, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia, hoped that the two countries will cultivate new frontiers in their bilateral ties as they continue to promote international peace and security in keeping with the principles of the African Union and United Nations.

The Liberian leader also hoped that the bond of friendship so happily subsisting between the two countries will be further strengthened for the mutual benefits of their respective peoples.
