GBARNGA, September 21 (LINA) - c

The Commander of the Crime Services Department, John Keleson Flomo, told the Liberia News Agency that further investigation is also ongoing to identify others who may be connected to the man’s death.

Inspector Flomo explained that Duyen arrived in Bong County on July 28 from Nimba County after he was invited by his friend Kollie Mulbah to assist him construct a house in Sammy Town near Cuttington University in Suakoko, Bong County.

According to Flomo, police investigation established that on the eve of the incident, Kollie visited a neighbor’s house with his friend to watch movies, following which they departed at about midnight when the power generator ran out of fuel.

He noted that on August 9 Duyen was found dead with his body mutilated and face smashed beyond recognition on the Gbarnga-Phebe highway around the isolated farm of former President Charles Taylor, about a mile away from where they both lived.

The CSD boss stated that the victim was later identified by his clothes after several hours of confusion over his identity.

Inspector Flomo said it was widely believed by some residents that Kollie was hit by a moving vehicle, but the police could make no conclusion after observing that there was no blood on the road and his clothing, while his body parts were in separate locations.

CSD boss told LINA that after hours of investigation, it was also discovered that Duyen's slippers were left at his house in Sammy Town, about a mile from where he and his friend who invited him lived.

Suspect Mulbah, who invited the deceased, is currently under detention at the Gbarnga Central Prison.

Flomo said Mulbah’s landlord, David Sumo, also being detained at the Gbarnga Central Prison helping the police probe.

Meanwhile, suspect Mulbah and his landlord Sumo are expected to appear in court during the next term, the police said.
