Pres. Sirleaf Fires Bong County Inspector
By Philip T. Singbah, LINA Bong County Correspondent

GBARNGA, September 19 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has with immediate effect dismissed William Kollie as Bong County Inspector.

The dismissal letter dated September 15 stated that Kollie engaged in acts which contravene policies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, thereby undermining the peace and cultural values of the people of Bong County and Liberia as a whole.

The letter further mandates Mr. Kollie to turn over all government properties in his possession to the Superintendent of the county.

Meanwhile, Kollie has formally turned over the office and all government properties in his possession to Bong County Superintendent Selena Polson Mappy.

At a short turning over ceremony held Monday at the Gbarnga Administration Building, Kollie thanked President Sirleaf for affording him the opportunity to serve his people in her government.

He vowed to remain a member of the Unity Party.

In remarks at the ceremony, Superintendent Mappy thanked Mr. Kollie for serving the county and wished him well in future endeavours as he leaves the local leadership of the county.
