Supt. Debunks Media Reports, Says ‘No Panic’ In Bomi
By David Pamas Seedee

TUBMANBURG, September 17 ( LINA) - Bomi County Superintendent Samuel Brown has dispelled media reports that people in  the county are living in fear as a result of the recent shooting incident in Sass Town.

Brown said residents are going about their normal business under a peaceful atmosphere, contrary to media reports that people in Bomi are living in fear.

In an interview with the Liberia News Agency in Tubmanburg Friday, Brown noted that the people of Bomi, including marketers, students, business people and farmers, are not showing any sign of fear as they continue to engage in their daily activities.

According to Brown, residents of the county enjoy the protection of the government and security agencies and hence there is no need for them to to feel insecure.

He said government has investigated and addressed the shooting incident adequately and that the County Security Council in collaboration with state security forces is working hard to prevent a recurrence of the incident.

It can be recalled that Justice Minister and Attorney General Cllr. Fredrick Cherue recently told a press conference that the shooting incident in Sass Town, Bomi County poses no security threat to the country.

Cllr. Cherue said investigations conducted by all security agencies show that the alleged perpetrator was carrying out a shooting practice.
