Montserrado District #6 Slate US$25,000 Scholarship Fund Drive
By Derrick G. Menkarzon

MONROVIA, September 15 (LINA) – The Development Council of Montserrado County District #6 will launch a US$25,000 scholarship fund drive Friday for 250 school-going children in the district.

Solomon Sawyer, head of the Council, told the ELBC “Super Morning Show” Thursday that the event will be held at the Harper First Baptist Church in the ELWA Community in Paynesville, outside Monrovia.

According to Sawyer, the gesture is the district’s way of helping to prepare the youth for future leadership roles.

He said the event is expected to be attended by students, businessmen, officials of government and humanitarian organizations.
