Boakai Donates Fire Engine To LNFS; Consoles River Gee

MONROVIA, September 15 (LINA) - Vice President Joseph N. Boakai Thursday presented one fire truck and an assortment of fire equipment to the Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS).

He said another fire truck intended for the City of Voinjama in Lofa County will soon arrive in the country, according to a release from the VP’s office.

It said VP Boakai also spoke of an ambulance donated by the Patriots for the Transformation of Liberia in the United States, a group backing his presidential bid.

He praised the firemen of the LNFS for their commitment to duty, the release said.

Meanwhile Vice President Boakai has been visiting the family of the late former Senator Nathaniel Williams of River Gee County.

Speaking Wednesday in Matadi, VP Boakai referred to the fallen former Senator as a ‘man of his word” and called on the people of River Gee to find solace during this hour of bereavement.
