Pres. Sirleaf Makes Appointments At Maritime

MONROVIA, September 15 (LINA) - President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has with immediate effect made additional appointments in government affecting the Liberia Maritime Authority (LMA).

According to an Executive Mansion release, those appointed are Dr. James N. Kollie as Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer and Atty. Isaac Jackson, Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Mr. Harry Conway was named Alternate Permanent Representative to the IMO.

The release said Mr. Charles A. Gono, Deputy Commissioner for Vessel Registration and Safety and Ms. Yvonne Clinton, Deputy Commissioner for Vessel Registration were reappointed to their respective posts.

Others reappointed are Cllr. Margaret Ansumana, Deputy Commissioner for Maritime Operations and Mr. Emmanuel N. Reeves, Deputy Commissioner for Financial Affairs.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable.
