Supt. Dunor Sees Reconciliation As Key To Growth
By Stephen N. Sonpon

MONROVIA, September 14 (LINA) – Lofa County Superintendent George S. Dunor has observed that reconciliation is key to the attainment of Liberia's growth and development.

He said although reconciliation still remains a major challenge for Liberia, a lot has been achieved over the years through the effort of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and Vice President Joseph N. Boakai.

He added that "more needs to be done so that what has been achieved over the years can be sustained."

Dunor made the statement recently at the induction ceremony of the officials of the Lofa University Students Association at the United Methodist University in Monrovia.

Dunor indicated that over the years, consultative meetings with traditional leaders, Zoes, Christians, Muslims, student community, youth and civil society have indicated that the respect for cultural practices remains an important component for the promotion of reconciliation in the country.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Dunor has termed youth development and empowerment as a fundamental requirement for sustainable peace, progress, and development in the Liberian society.
