Massaquoi Cautions Police, Motorcyclists To Maintain Peace
By Decontee M. Wesseh

MONROVIA, September 13 (LINA) – Inspector General Chris Massaquoi has cautioned members of the Liberia National Police (LNP) and the Motorcyclists Union of Liberia (MCUL) to collaborate to maintain the peace and stability the country now enjoys.

He made the statement in Paynesville outside Monrovia Tuesday at the end of a two-day consultative workshop organized by Peace Ambassador William R. Tolbert.

Massaquoi said it is the responsibility of everyone to help sustain the hard-earned peace, and as such all Liberians should work together to maintain it.

“Though there are challenges facing the police and cyclists, we hope to work with the relevant authorities in dealing with those issues confronting them,” he stressed.

He added: “The workshop is in the interest of Liberians for the fact that both parties have gathered here today, meaning they are determined and willing to stand up for the peace of our beloved country.”

Massaquoi indicated that the workshop will enhance the relationship between the two groups, and advised the motorcyclists to follow the traffic rules as well as obtain their licenses and other required documents.
