Bomi College Gets Nursing Department Accreditation
By David Pamas Seedee, LINA Bomi County Correspondent

TUBMANBURG, September 12 (LINA) - The President of the Bomi County Community College (BCCC), Dr. Zobong Norman, has vowed to improve the capacity of the Nursing Department at the institution.

Dr. Norman said improving the department is necessary because health care providers must be adequately trained to carry out their duties in order to help the government build a resilient health sector.

He made statement at the accreditation ceremony of the BCCC Nursing Department by the Liberia Board of Nursing and Midwifery in Monrovia at the weekend.

He thanked the Nursing Board for its decision to accredit the college to resume full operations of the nursing department as a medical college in the Western Region of the country.

Dr. Norman then called on the government and the international community to assist the institution with financial and logistical support for the department to be fully functional.
