MONROVIA, September 10 (LINA) – Criminal Court ”C” at the Temple of Justice has begun hearing into a US$66,000 and L$449,515 misapplication case involving Lone Star Cell Communication Regional Supervisor Suzatte Binda Blake.

Madam Blake was on February 23 charged with “Misapplication of Entrusted Property” by the Grand Jury of Montserrado County.

The amounts constitute the value of goods given her for supply to stores, gas stations, pharmacies, bus stops and Mobile Money deposit that she withdrew immediately after it was deposited into her account.

The amounts also include mobile phones, scratch cards and SIM cards intended for sale and proceeds deposited into the account of Lone Star Cell MTN.

Meanwhile, prosecution witness, Lone Star Cell MTN’s Samelia Dempster Tweh, in her testimony linked Madam Blake to the commission of the crime.

She told the court that the incident which occurred in 2015 was discovered during the entity’s usual reconciliation where an erroneous posting by Madam Blake was realized.

Hearing into the case continues with three other state witnesses expected to testify.
