MoE Concludes Code Of Conduct Workshop In Ganta
By  S. Kannay Ziamo, LINA Nimba County Correspondent

GANTA, September 2 (LINA) - The Ministry of Education (MoE) has concluded a two-day Code of Conduct workshop in Ganta, Nimba County aimed at educating school administrators and teachers on their role in preparing the nation's future leaders.

The workshop, which is part of efforts by the MoE to achieve its goal of transforming the nation's education sector, ended on Thursday, September 1.

Over 70 school administrators and teachers from both public and private schools in Bain-Garr Education District in Nimba County benefited from the training.

Speaking to journalists at the end of the workshop, the lead facilitator, Mr. Reuben Duo, said the workshop is also part of strategies introduced by the MoE to enhance and strengthen the educational system through the provision of regular training, particularly for administrators and teachers who come in direct contact with students in the classrooms.

Duo said the training is important for educators because students also learn from the manner and form in which their instructors behave, dress and comport themselves.

Duo said education is not only reading and writing, but also entails good behavioural patterns and descent appearance which, according to him, speak volumes about the characters of students.

For his part, Nimba County Education Officer Moses Dologbay called on the participants to impact the lives of students with what they learned at the workshop.

He said that his office has received over 6,000 copies of the Teacher Code of Conduct manual which will be distributed to all schools in the county soon.
