By Chiedi E. Nyenmoh
MONROVIA, September 1 (LINA) – A group of local radio journalists from Sinoe, Margibi, Grand Bassa and Rivercess counties Thursday started a week-long training in land rights reporting in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.
The training is under the auspices of the Interim Land Task Force in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
An official of the Task Force, Stanley Toe, told UNMIL radio talk show "Coffee Break" Thursday that the journalists will also be drilled in the evolving policy on land reform in the country.
Toe stated that the training will provide journalists the basic concept in reporting land disputes which, according to him, have been critical to the peace and stability of the country.
He indicated that following the completion of the training, the second phase will be in Gbarpolu, Grand Cape Mount and Bong Counties, and later extended to the south-eastern region by the end of September.
