25 Youths Undergo Public, Private Sector Training In Gedeh
By Chiedi E. Nyenmoh

MONROVIA, August 31(LINA) – About 25 Liberian youths from Monrovia are in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County for a four-day training in national, public and private sector services.

The youngsters departed Monday for the training which is under the auspices of the President’s Young Professional Program (PYPP).

Program Manager Hans Zayzay said on a local radio talk show that the training will expose young professionals to career opportunities that lie beyond Monrovia.

Zayzay added that the training will also give them clear understanding of public services and structures in the country and attract them to their professions as well as prepare them for future leadership.

He stated that the youngsters will have active discussions in the education and civil service sectors as well as at the refugee camp.

According to Zayzay, the program has graduated 73 students since its inception in 2009, with most of them still working at various ministries and agencies where they have been assigned.
