GANTA, August 30 (LINA) - Nimba County District #1 Representative Jeremieh Koung has hailed President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for speedily signing into law a bill to construct a technical and vocational training institute in Ganta, Nimba County.

The bill, dubbed the Ganta Vocational and Training Institute (GVTI) Bill, was introduced by Koung in the House of Representatives in 2014.

Koung told reporters over the weekend that when constructed the institute will provide training for Liberians desirous of acquiring technical and vocational skills, making them productive citizens.

He expressed gratitude to the Liberian leader for signing into law the bill that will ensure that residents of Ganta City and beyond benefit from the existence of a technical and vocational training institute soon.

Koung pointed out that the President's interest in the bill is “a clear manifestation of her love for Liberians and signifies her commitment to providing quality education for citizens.”

He then called on those responsible for activities leading to the construction of the GVTI to work to ensure that the dream to have the facility constructed is realized as soon as possible.
