YWCA Sets Up Skills Training For Ebola-Affected Women
By David Pamas Seedee, LINA Bomi County Correspondent

TUBMANBURG, August 22 (LINA) - The Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) has set up a skills training program for women affected by the Ebola Virus Disease.

The first cycle of the training targets over 80 women survivors and widows of the Ebola virus in Grand Cape Mount and Bomi counties, spanning three months.

The training will cover soap-making and pastry, among others.

YWCA Executive Director Rosoline Toweh said the training program was launched under the YWCA Women Sustainable Entrepreneurship Program.

Speaking to journalists recently, Toweh said the idea of establishing the skills training program in the two counties is intended to boost the economic capacity of the beneficiaries.

The YWCA Executive Director also said the organization will follow-up on the projects to ensure that more funds are raised to improve the businesses that the women will establish.
