TUBMANBURG, August 17 (LINA) - Bomi County Senator Sando Johnson is urging hunters and residents in the county to “report strange movements of people in the forest” to security personnel for “appropriate actions.”
The Senator’s comments come against the backdrop of the recent shooting incident in Senje District, Bomi County, sparking security concerns in the county, and leading government constitute a body to probe the situation.
Johnson told reporters in Tubmanburg recently that the County Legislative Caucus has already instructed the County Security Council (CSC) and the County Watch Team (CWT) to assist in the investigation.
“Liberians are not prepared to resort to war, and as such, the county will not be used as a hub for instigating chaos in the country,” he pointed out.
He indicated that the CSC, CWT and citizens of the county will cooperate with security forces to ensure that those responsible for the shooting are identified.
