MONROVIA, Dec 2 (LINA) -The Principal of the Beteba Public School in Voinjama District, Lofa County, Mr. Boyawala K. Sorsor, has commended parents and guardians for their continued commitment to educate their children.

He said parents and guardians deserve commendation for their sacrifices to educate their children in the face of the stringent financial situation in the country.

“These people are tightening their belts and almost going half naked for the sake of their children’s education,’ Principal Sorsor told the Liberia News Agency on Monday, adding, “this is a commendable investment for the future of the children and the country.”

Mr. Sorsor, however, admonished school authorities, especially of private schools, to be flexible in demanding tuition and other fees.

He said he understood that school fees are the mainstay of many learning institutions, but noted that making school fees too exorbitant could rob many children of the opportunity to acquire the education they need as future leaders
