Jurors Find Two Armed Robbers Guilty

MONROVIA, March 13 (LINA) -Trial Jurors of Criminal Court’’ D’’ at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia on Thursday brought down a guilty verdict against two armed robbers.

According to the court’s charge sheet, the two robbers, Abednego Dennis and Akon Weah, willfully and knowingly committed the crime on January 31, 2013 at about 6:30 pm, when they attacked private prosecutrix Madam Sarah Brown in Paynesville.

The charge sheet indicates that the defendants attacked the private prosecutrix, who was riding a motorbike, with a knife, inflicted wounds on her and took away her hand bag containing US$220 and L$3,400.

Meanwhile, final verdict into the case has been reserved for Tuesday, March 18, at the Temple of Justice in Monrovia.
