Cabinet Moves To Salvage A.M. Dogliotti Medical College

MONROVIA, August 11 (LINA) – The Cabinet has composed a Task Force led by the General Services Agency (GSA) to do a ‘complete assessment’ of the A.M. Dogliotti Medical College for a quick impact intervention.

The assessment will cover the status of the dormitories and the prevailing dire situation affecting the general living conditions of students and poor facilities.

The Cabinet made the decision after receiving updates on the current situation at the A.M. Dogliotti College of Medicine at its recent sitting.

Among three steps the Cabinet approved is an immediate Cabinet goodwill intervention to be delivered on Friday, August 12, according to an Executive Mansion release.

The updates also covered the agriculture sector with particularly reference to the recent visit of IFAD Executive Director to Liberia; ICT National Backbone Fiber Optic; Liberia’s Financial Obligations to international organizations and a situation report from Bomi County.

Meanwhile, Cabinet has mandated sectoral heads of the ICT National Backbone Fiber Optic, comprising the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, Liberia Telecommunications Authority and LIBTELCO, to think-tank their focus on an outcome that is driven by increased private sector partnership.

It reached the decision following updates on the ICT National Backbone Fiber Optic by the Liberia Telecommunications Authority chairperson Angelique Weeks and LIBTELCO Director General Sebastian Muah.
