Former Assistant Defense Minister Kpor Gbain Is Dead

MONROVIA, August 10 (LINA) - Former Assistant Minister for Public Affairs at the Ministry of National Defense, Mr. Kpor Gbain, has died.

According to a family source, former Minister Gbain died on August 3 at his residence in Monrovia following a brief illness.

Assistant Minister Gbain will be remembered for his enormous contributions to Liberia's media industry when as he served as news presenter on the famous ELTV Action News of the Liberia Broadcasting System.

Gbain also worked briefly at the Liberia News Agency and other media institutions in the country.

He also served as the Director of Public Affairs for the defunct rebel faction Movement for Democracy in Liberia (MODEL).
