Kogar Wants Policy For Concessions To Train Youth

By Ballah M. Kollie, LINA

MONROVIA, August 7 (LINA) – Nimba County District # 5 Representative Samuel G. Kogar is calling for a policy that will make concessions to provide technical training for youth as a means of responding to the country’s manpower needs.

“We the government need to carve a policy that will mandate concessions to train Liberians even before being granted the permission to carry on exploration or exportation of whatever mineral from the country,” Kogar emphasized.

He was speaking at the thanksgiving service and closing exercises of the Trinity Lutheran High School in Sinkor, outside Monrovia, on Saturday.

Kogar claims that not many persons from Nimba are benefiting from the resources of the Nimba mountain, citing this as one of the instances that has informed his suggestion.

According to him, such a policy will help ensure that a number of citizens are trained to operate the machines, labs, and do many things which will benefit locals and the nation.
