MONROVIA, July 18 (LINA) - The Executive Director of the Liberia Crusaders for Peace (LCP), Ambassador Juli Endee, has lauded the Liberian Government for its continued support to the Golden Image Award in Liberia.

Ambassador Endee stated that President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and government ministries and agencies have been providing technical support to the Golden Image Award initiative since 2010.

The LCP Boss made the statement Monday at a press conference held at its headquarters in Monrovia.

She indicated that the Golden Image Award is a national meritorious award that represents Liberia’s way of bestowing honor on individuals, organizations and nations that have contributed significantly and continue to contribute to world peace, human rights, health, development and democracy which have gone un-noticed.

Endee stressed that the Golden Image Award initiative is a unique venture and opportunity to promote and encourage effective leadership, positive legacies, democracy, community engagement, arts and culture.

Ambassador Endee pointed out that nominees of this year’s Golden Image Award which is expected to take place on July 21, were drawn from the 15 counties of Liberia.

She added that this year's recipients come also from Europe, Africa, North America, South America and Asia.

She emphasized that this year’s award event will focus on health with the theme: “Strengthening the Health System through Communities.”

According to Ambassador Endee, the guest speaker for this year is a recipient of the “Excellence in Leadership Award” by the African achievers Award 2016.
